Terms & Conditions

The deal,
in plain English.

The agreement that applies when you order a Report — with the plain-English version up front.

Who we are

Orbit is operated by Orbit Network Intelligence Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17323543), whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ (“Orbit”, “we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at support@orbitconnect.co.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration reference ZC202830.

In plain English: you export your LinkedIn connections and send them to us with your Brief. We run them through the Orbit scoring model, using secure third-party tools including Anthropic’s Claude, to build your Orbit Map, Orbit Tracker, and Orbit Method. We deliver your Report. We will never sell your raw data, and we will never use it for anyone else.

A1. Definitions

A1.1 “You” or “Client” means the individual or business that orders a Report.

A1.2 “Connections Data” means the LinkedIn connections export you upload to us.

A1.3 “Brief” means the ideal customer profile and instructions you give us to guide the analysis.

A1.4 “Intellectual Property Rights” means copyright, unregistered design rights, registered and unregistered trademarks, database rights, rights in passing off, and any other intellectual property right of any kind, whether registered or unregistered, and wherever in the world such rights may exist.

A1.5 “Report” means the deliverables we produce for you: the Orbit Map, the Orbit Tracker and the Orbit Method.

“Orbit Map” means the diagnostic report delivered to the Client in Microsoft Excel format, which analyses the Client’s submitted Connections Data against the agreed Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and presents a scored breakdown of relevant contacts.

“Orbit Tracker” means the pipeline management document delivered to the Client in Microsoft Excel format, structured by ICP category, which is intended to support the Client’s outreach activity in respect of the contacts identified in the Orbit Map.

“Orbit Method” means the playbook document delivered to the Client in Microsoft Word format, setting out guidance and recommended approaches for the Client’s use of the Orbit Map and Orbit Tracker.

A1.6 “Data Protection Laws” means applicable data protection laws and includes without limitation, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”), the GDPR as amended by the Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communications (Amendments etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (the “UK GDPR”), and the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended and updated from time to time.

A1.7 “Orbit Data” has the meaning given to it in clause A3.5.

A2. The service

A2.1 Orbit analyses your Connections Data against your Brief and produces a scored, prioritised outreach list, delivered as a Report.

A2.2 We produce one Report per order, based on the Connections Data and Brief you submit at the time of that order.

A3. Your data and your responsibilities

A3.1 You confirm that the Connections Data was exported using LinkedIn’s own “Download your data” export function, in accordance with the terms and conditions of LinkedIn, and that you have the authority and a lawful basis to have it processed for business outreach.

A3.2 The people in your Connections Data are data subjects. You remain responsible for contacting them lawfully in connection with the Report at all times under the Data Protection Laws, including UK GDPR and PECR.

A3.3 You acknowledge that the individuals in your Connections Data own their own personal information. Providing that data to us does not give you, and does not give Orbit, any ownership of it; you are only providing us with the data on the basis needed for us to produce your Report, and you remain responsible for your own compliance with LinkedIn’s terms in exporting and providing it to us.

A3.4 For your Connections Data and Brief, you are the controller and we act as your processor. How we process that data is set out in our Privacy Policy and in Schedule 1 (Data Processing Terms) to these Terms.

A3.5 We extract and retain anonymised, aggregated data derived from Connections Data across our client base (for example, statistical trends such as average scoring distributions or seniority mix) (“Orbit Data”). We own Orbit Data and act as an independent data controller in respect of it. We use Orbit Data for our own business purposes, including but not limited to improving our scoring methodology and producing benchmarking insights for clients and prospective clients. Aggregation is carried out so that no individual, connection, or Client can be identified from the resulting dataset. Further detail is set out in our Privacy Policy.

A3.6 We will not use your Connections Data for marketing purposes, except to the extent that any element of that Connections Data was already known to us independently as at the date of your order, or subsequently becomes known to us independently after your order.

A4. Fees and payment

A4.1 The fee for your Report is the amount shown at checkout and confirmed in your order. It is payable in full before we begin.

A4.2 Orbit Network Intelligence Limited is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on our fees.

A5. Refunds

A5.1 Each Report is produced individually from your own data. Once we have begun processing your order, the fee is non-refundable.

A6. What Orbit promises

A6.1 Orbit ranks your existing network so you can prioritise who to approach. It does not guarantee replies, meetings, or business won.

A7. Intellectual property

A7.1 You own the Report we deliver to you and are free to use it in your business.

A7.2 We retain ownership of the Orbit methodology, scoring model, templates, brand, all Intellectual Property Rights, and Orbit Data (as defined in clause A3.5). You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or create derivative works from our methodology, scoring model, or templates. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of the above to you.

A8. Keeping and deleting your data

A8.1 We keep your Connections Data and Brief only for as long as we need to produce and deliver your Report, then we delete the raw files. Data is stored on AWS, in the eu-central-1 (Frankfurt, EU) region, encrypted in transit and at rest by default. You upload your Connections Data directly through the site once you’ve signed in and paid; it goes straight into private storage over a one-time signed upload link, and every later download uses a short-lived signed link too, so there is no public URL to your file at any point. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time. Our Privacy Policy sets out further detail.

A8.2 Any copy of your Connections Data submitted to our AI analysis sub-processor, Anthropic, using their Claude Sonnet 5 model, is deleted from their systems within 30 days of submission, under Anthropic’s own standard retention practice. We are unable to compel earlier deletion from Anthropic’s systems once submitted. We rely on Anthropic’s published terms and conditions in respect of this retention and deletion commitment, which currently state that submitted data is deleted within 30 days of submission. If Anthropic’s stated practice changes, we will update this policy to reflect it.

A8.3 We may change how we keep and delete your data from time to time, for example if our technology, infrastructure, or sub-processors change. Any such change will, in our discretion, acting reasonably, maintain data security and retention standards that are broadly equivalent to those set out in this clause A8.

A9. Liability

A9.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. The total liability from Orbit to You is the price paid for the Report.

A10. Cancellation and termination

A10.1 You may cancel an order before we begin processing it. Once processing has begun, clause A5 applies.

A10.2 We may decline or stop an order if we reasonably believe the Connections Data was not lawfully obtained or would put us in breach of the Data Protection Laws.

A11. Governing law

A11.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

A12. Changes to these terms

A12.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you place it.

A13. By Invitation

A13.1 By Invitation is offered at our discretion to a small number of trusted senior contacts. The Report is watermarked and produced from your own Connections Data.

A13.2 These arrangements are agreed individually and confirmed in writing and subject to further conditions to be agreed at the time. All other clauses of these terms apply to By Invitation orders.

Schedule 1: Data Processing Terms

1. Subject matter and duration

Orbit processes your Connections Data and Brief for the duration needed to produce and deliver your Report, and no longer, save for the outer limits on sub-processor deletion described in clause 10 below.

2. Nature and purpose of processing

Analysis of Connections Data against the Brief to produce a scored, prioritised outreach list, delivered as the Orbit Map, Orbit Tracker and Orbit Method.

3. Types of personal data

Names, job titles, employers, LinkedIn profile URLs, connection dates, and any other fields included in a standard LinkedIn connections export.

4. Categories of data subjects

The individuals in the Client’s LinkedIn network who appear in the exported Connections Data.

5. Processing on your instructions

Orbit will only process Connections Data on your documented instructions, as set out in your Brief and order, unless required to do otherwise by law, in which case Orbit will tell you before processing, unless the law prohibits this.

6. Confidentiality

Orbit ensures that anyone authorised to process Connections Data is subject to a duty of confidentiality.

7. Sub-processors

You authorise Orbit to use the following sub-processors: Anthropic (Claude Sonnet 5, for analysis), Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (data storage and processing, hosted in Frankfurt, EU), Postmark (transactional email), and Netlify (website hosting). Orbit will impose data protection obligations on each sub-processor that are substantially the same as those in this Schedule, and will remain liable to you for each sub-processor’s performance of those obligations. Orbit will give you reasonable notice of any intended change to this list.

8. Security measures

Data is stored on AWS in the eu-central-1 (Frankfurt, EU) region, encrypted in transit and at rest by default. Uploads and downloads use one-time, short-lived signed links, so there is no public URL to your file at any point.

9. Assistance with data subject rights and breach notification

Orbit will give you reasonable assistance, at your cost where the assistance is significant, to help you respond to requests from data subjects exercising their rights, and to help you meet your own obligations around data protection impact assessments and prior consultation with regulators. Orbit will notify you without undue delay, and in any event within 48 hours, of becoming aware of any personal data breach affecting your Connections Data.

10. Deletion or return of data

On completion of your Report, Orbit deletes your Connections Data and Brief from its own systems, typically within days. Any copy submitted to Anthropic for analysis is deleted from Anthropic’s systems within 30 days of submission, under Anthropic’s own standard retention practice. Orbit is unable to compel earlier deletion from Anthropic’s systems once submitted. Orbit relies on Anthropic’s published terms and conditions in respect of this retention and deletion commitment, which currently state that submitted data is deleted within 30 days of submission. If Anthropic’s stated practice changes, this Schedule will be updated to reflect it.

11. Audit

Orbit will make available to you the information reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance with this Schedule, and will allow for and contribute to audits, including inspections, conducted by you or an auditor you mandate, on reasonable notice.
